PLEASE JOIN US FOR PASTOR HANK’S NEW SEVEN-WEEK EASTER SERMON SERIES

In this seven-week series, we reach the peak of the story of God’s work with his people: the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. But what comes after that? This Easter season we examine the implications of Jesus’s resurrection, how it impacts those who bear witness to it, and what we can learn about how God works in the days after we hear his good news.

4-21-24      Sermon Title-“Sheep can Shepherd Too

Big Idea of the Message: In John 4, Jesus reveals his identity of a self sacrificing “Good Shepherd” who repeatedly and willingly risks his life for his sheep/disciples, not just for those sheep/disciples that are already within his “pasture” but some who are not yet in the fold.  In Acts 4, the days ensuing Jesus’ resurrection, Peter begins to emulate Jesus’ role as a good shepherd, by taking great risks, not only by attempting to heal a lame man, but also by boldly proclaiming Jesus as the Messiah to the very ones who executed Jesus. Peter was a sheep who began following in his Shepherds’ footsteps. And so can we!

Call to Action: Because you are a part of Jesus’s fold, join with your fellow sheep to bring God’s healing to others.
